OUR STORY

Established in 2006, The Pimienta Film Co. started as a boutique production company focused on low budget high quality genre films like the comedy Lovesickness (Luis Guzmán) and the stylistic thriller The Caller (Rachelle Lefevre). Today, Pimienta is the most prolific production company in Puerto Rico developing and producing projects with Hollywood talent in the $15-$20M budget range like the DeLorean saga Driven (Jason Sudeikis, Lee Pace, Judy Greer).

The Pimienta Film Co. is dedicated to the development, production and promotion of local and international film projects. Pimienta provides all type of consulting and production services, from development and financing, to physical production and delivery. Pimienta is run by a remarkable team of professionals dedicated to make films happen in Puerto Rico, with the skills and passion to handle effectively every step of the process. The team is headed by producer Luillo Ruiz with over twenty years of experience in the film and advertising industry.
